*I will follow
"Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path"
Psalm 119:105
This verse displays a very clear message. Without God to lead us, we would be lost, in the dark, so to speak. Without the guidance and direction of God, his followers would be free to roam, with no purpose. We all get that God is our leader, common knowledge right?
Well, that may be, but he can lead us all he wants, the question is: Will we follow?
For example: A passenger jet can have the worlds best pilot at the helm, but if the passengers do not think the pilot is competent enough, and refuse to board the plane, they will get nowhere, and be forced to find their own way to their destination.
There has never been a better leader, nor will there ever be, than God. And if his followers choose to follow him, they will take the best possible pathway to him. Not that it will be struggle free of course, but it will be HIS way.
However, those who see God, and see what he can do, and ignore it, are forced to find their own way. They are free to roam about, to explore some "less constricting" or "easier" paths that will only stay that way for so long.
The point is, we all have a choice, some will follow, others will not. What will you choose?
